Outcrop is a one-of-a-kind sculptural vessel from the Strata Collection, exploring the tension between a controlled thrown form and irregular geological growth.
A tapered body expands into broad shoulders, interrupted by hand-formed projections emerging from either side of the vessel. Its deeply textured surface shifts between charcoal, bronze, and warm mineral tones, with areas of exposed clay and glaze variation revealing the effects of the firing.
The sculptural elements give Outcrop a changing silhouette from every angle, blurring the line between vessel and object.
